HAIKU MY HEART - AND ETHEREE

HAIKU

SUMMER HEAT

city sidewalks bake
a good rain would make them steam
the tears of the sun

ETHEREE

SUN

The
City
Sidewalks bake
In torrid sun
Bare feet burn and hop
There is no relief here
Even in shade of buildings
Although distant thunder rumbles
Clouds do not cover the sun for long
They drift on by and sol shines down again

  3. I like Annie, am in California and our hundred degree weather slid into cool temps and rain yesterday and a little today... wishes come true indeed! Love your line, "the tears of the sun."

  4. I know. Most of the rainfall in Az. has been miles from here. Hope we all get a good old fashioned summer rain storm soon!

  5. As I've wished other times this summer, I wish that I could send our rain clouds out west to alleviate your drought. First time I've heard of an etheree- I'll google it soon.
    The sun's tears- unique image.

  10. Baking sidewalks---I imagine they don't taste too good when finished!
