6 day old sandhill crane chicks
These particular chicks, not in a controlled group, may not follow a biplane
as part of Operation Migration but hopefully can find their way to migrate alone. They are just sooooo cute.
Read about sandhill cranes and listen to their call
thank you for this tender glimpse of sweet new fluffy life! i loved listening to their calls and knowing they are carrying on. thank you for understanding my week delay-i remain ever hopeful for renewed health. xo

ReplyDeleteI want to see what they are seeing! They are so intent, with those little wings readying to fly... I too hope they find their way to the migration highway. Thank you Judie for bringing me to your shore and sharing your world with us all. Here's to us all finding and learning the way!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to see this "bonding" between bird and biplane. I'm glad you're celebrating it!
ReplyDeleteThese chicks are so precious. Lucky you to live near all the wonderful birds and wildlife and that your love and good intentions go with them.
