FOR JAMIE THARPE CHANCEY
There’s a spirit in the meadow now
with misty hair long and flowing.
When your heart calls out to her, you’ll see her
in the light of the full moon through the trees.
She’s an angel flying close to the grassy path
looking, searching.
Beside her, two small cherubs
visible through the mist,
her two tiny hearts reunited.
But still she searches...
for those left behind.
And the pink bike,
Her metal love,
Sits riderless.
Rest in Peace, Jamie
