Mornings with Mary Day 11

A Tribute

The candle of life has been extinguished for my friend Terri.

She fought illness for a long time.  Last year she lost one of her daughters in an accident.  She seemed to just give up after that.  There was no more fight in her.  Yesterday, she left this earth, just three days shy of a year of losing her child.  My sadness in losing her friendship is made easier with the knowledge she can now be with her lost child.  Somehow, I envy her. May your spirit be carried on the wings of the raven, Ninnie, to a destination where there is no sorrow, no pain, only happiness.  I treasured your friendship.

  3. I offer you my sympathy on the loss of your friend. I depicted Our Lady of Sorrows today on my blog, too, coincidentally. Mary understands the pain of losing someone you love.xx

  4. I came here speechless. So much I want to say but my heart and mind are adrift today. Loosing Ninnie is so sad but we do have the consolation that she is no longer suffering.
    LOVE you Judie very much.

  11. What a bitter grief she carried and now you carry HER loss. My condolences to you, Judie. I hope my post today is a comfort to you. I've read of many losses this week and Day 11, for me, had to be Our Lady of Sorrows.

  13. God rest the soul of your dear Ninnie. What sorrows she endured and this photo shows that sorrow so tangibly. Sorry for your loss.

  14. I think that somewhere in all of us there's the desire to "go home"...thus our little twinge of envy when someone passes over. I, too, know how hard it is to lose a good friend...but yes, they are happier now...

  17. I still cannot wrap my head around this....I posted about it all the while thinking "what? really?". I think I may even be in some kind of denial because I just knew SHE would be the one to prevail. But the fact she is no longer suffering and now with her daughter and grandsons....well I guess there is a comfort in that.
    Much love to you always!!!
    XOXOXO
