Some joy and some sad
Many faces are Mary's
This is mine today
Conte on Sennelier
This will become my latest "Teardrop" painting.
It was a little intense.

Oh it is just beautiful friend. You've captured your soul with Mary's tear just embracing us. Thank you Judie. I'm going to run over to see your book.:) Take care.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful creation ~ blessings to you ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
ReplyDeleteI love this Mary because she isn't shown as a perpetual adolescent, but as a woman who has grown into her soul.
ReplyDeleteI love your collection of teardrops...scrolled down to see what I missed :) It is nice to see someone paint Mary as much as I do♥
ReplyDeleteThis is very beautiful, Judie - her grief is palpable.
ReplyDeleteI feel the emotion. The lilac colour is very healing I think!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day,
Ruby
So much emotion in her expression. Wow. I also love the lilac covering and soft halo.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and for the encouragement. :)
truly beautiful. a touching teardrop in your mary love garden.
ReplyDeleteyou would love the night in san miguel called our lady of sorrows...the entire town decorates all the fountains with flowers and candles and invite everyone into their courtyards and homes to share life size shrines created to comfort mary in her time of great sorrow.
intense, sorrow reveals light
ReplyDeleteher strong emotion fits mine today, but there is hope
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ruby - a very healing image and our tears are balm to the grieving heart - a beautiful painting - my favourite
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Definitely my favourite too - so very beautiful and luminiscent.
ReplyDeleteBeauty Full!!!! I see YOU have been busy my friend! I've got to go read your book too!
ReplyDeleteIt does get sad in our hearts at times. As long as remember to come back to the rest of it, it's OK.
ReplyDeleteI love your call to action to seek only happiness today.
Sorrow seems to be an inescapable part of the human experience.
ReplyDeleteOur Lady of the Loo in Red
When I saw your painting and read the words my first thought was she looks sad but also very caring.
ReplyDeleteI've been feeling sad today, just like Mary....Sometimes we have these sad teary days....I think they are as important as the Happy ones.
ReplyDeleteSweet love and sadness lives, in equal parts, in her eyes.
ReplyDeletedearest Judie
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful heart is so evident
in this painting. Such raw emotion.
Love it!
Sadness is always there to counteract the happiness...couldn't have one without the other. We can only hope for more of the latter in our lives, no? Mary can help!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are sad today, but it's oh so human to have our ups and downs. I like the old Progoff metaphor of tears being how we water our roses. I was also amazed at your post from yesterday; I never saw that image in the news before.
