Although I know I will not be able to participate the entire time,
in keeping with the traditional annual Twelve Days of Mary
facilitated by the loving
I offer this simple painting, done in acrylic metallic gold.
In another traditional ceremony,
tonight is the night of the Rockefeller Center "Lighting of the Tree".
It was interesting to me to see the first tree,
installed in 1931 during the construction of Rockefeller Center.
Who would have thought it would become such a worldwide annual event
from such humble beginnings.
Happy Holidays
'Tis a gift to be simple. Truly, it is-along with humble beginnings.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to be linking up with you Judie, even if only for some of the time. I love your painting - seems quite complicated to me, but then that is the secret of simplicity! Thank you for your encouragement on my tarot deck - every now and again I think what have I started?!!
ReplyDeleteShe is wonderful. Serenity in gold. Love your art.

I so much agree: such serenity!
DeleteYou call her simple, I say beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think that first Rockefeller tree is more in keeping with the spirit of Christmas than the monstrosities they put up today. But that's just my opinion. :-)
