12 Days of Christmas

Although I know I will not be able to participate the entire time,
in keeping with the traditional annual Twelve Days of Mary
facilitated by the loving
I offer this simple painting, done in acrylic metallic gold.

In another traditional ceremony,
tonight is the night of  the Rockefeller Center "Lighting of the Tree".
It was interesting to me to see the first tree,
installed in 1931 during the construction of Rockefeller Center.

Who would have thought it would become such a worldwide annual event
from such humble beginnings.

Happy Holidays

  1. 'Tis a gift to be simple. Truly, it is-along with humble beginnings.

  2. It is wonderful to be linking up with you Judie, even if only for some of the time. I love your painting - seems quite complicated to me, but then that is the secret of simplicity! Thank you for your encouragement on my tarot deck - every now and again I think what have I started?!!

  3. She is wonderful. Serenity in gold. Love your art.

  4. You call her simple, I say beautiful!

I think that first Rockefeller tree is more in keeping with the spirit of Christmas than the monstrosities they put up today. But that's just my opinion. :-)

  5. dearest judie,
so lovely to have you here in our midst. i have missed you with my nearly complete respite from blogging. all the love, light and support that is being so generously shared has me longing for that connection once more. thank you for bringing your beauty, sweetness and creativity to the mix, for one day or 12, we are blessed!

  6. Shining lady,
    Shining bright,
    O Holy Night.

Your comments are sincerely appreciated. Knowing you have been here is what keeps me posting. Thank you for taking the time.
