SOME PICTURES

We decided to do the daytime event instead of the night stumble parade when Mamma Guava comes out.  I dont think I can handle the hard rock music and drinking any more.  It used to be salsa bands and street vendors, but it has changed a lot.
7th Ave Ybor City, Tampa's Latin Quarter, Cuban cigar capital of everywhere. The art vendors were on the next street.

R2 D2 I guess.  Hmmmmmmm?  Well, this guy was having fun anyway.

Best costume there.  This young boy was scaring the stuff out of the smaller kids.  He had a creature on his shoulder that moved with a cord behind his back.

The Amtrack goes right through town.  I have never been on a train.  Ships, planes, trollys, etc. but no trains.  My dream is to someday take a trip on the Orient  Express.
Bye, Bye train.
My own Mr. Wonderful who puts up with my oddities and idiosyncrities...syncra...syn...well, you know.  We had a pressed cuban at the Grotto Cafe, sidewalk style.

We did the John's Pass Seafood Festival Sunday but took no photos.  It was the same ol, same ol, but I had a fantastic grouper sandwich.  And hey....it's stone crab season.  Yum!
That's all folks.
I'll be back.
Maybe.
Probably.

  1. YUM! You got me with the grouper sandwich! I had my first one when I went to Florida for the first time. HB introduced me to them and it was love at first bite!

Looks like you had a fun filled weekend.

  3. Hi Judie. Sounds like you had a great time. The sandwich sounds really good. I've never been on a train ride either and I am going to. I'd like to try the Napa dinner train and then the Amtrak leading to a destination.
