The rain forest is the lungs of our planet... and the home to so many. Sharing our prayers in color and sand we open our hearts to the beauty of this world and the hope that we will all wake up...
I was listening to the report about the fires on NPR, and someone sitting next to me rolled his eyes. I can't tell you how difficult it was to keep myself from smacking him. We are killing our home and ourselves, in our ignorance and disregard.
every day it seems we are challenged with the tipping point of life as we have been so blessed to know it. may we all awaken in each other acts of protection and responsibility. even through our tears may we find the strength to make a difference. the future depends on all of us.
So many people just shrug and move on when they hear that Brazil is destroying its rain forests...
ReplyDeleteThe tragedy in Brazil is compounded by those who see it as none of their concern. Thank you for this post!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful header artwork of the parrot and lovely haiku ~ ^_^ ~ Brazil is destroying pieces of the world not just their forest

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the terror of being a little creature pursued by a big fire.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I am quiet I can hear the terror.
ReplyDeleteI join your concern not just for the animals who are losing their habitats but for the world in general. Much love to you my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely terrifying. The world NEEDS the Amazon. I am fervently hoping the fires are extinguished before tooo much damage is done.
