Crows know no fear!
ReplyDeleteScarecrows work about 10 minutes. I think they startle more people than birds. They just make you feel a little better because you have done something to try to save a few veggies from the marauders.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
your love of birds knows no bounds! even the noisy crow finds a place to rest in your world. wishing you all the golden light of the season.

The perfect pair in a sea of pumpkins! Love this Judie!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful words that illustrate your haiku in my mind! Thank you! Have a grand weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove it when the scare crows come out. Yes I think they do keep certain birds away from the crops. Folks have been using them for centuries. LOVE you.
ReplyDeleteI love it. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI don't think nice scare crows, like the one on that image, work... if I was a bird I would love to sit on his hat! Love your haiku!
ReplyDeleteLove the nest photo and your haiku creates a wonderful picture of Autumn ~

Perfect for the season. And how I love the imagery. Most things about scarecrows and crows lean towards the terrifying (especially this time of year), but your poem is bright and welcoming--a creator of smile and warmth. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an evocate poem, in so few lines. Colour me awed.
ReplyDeleteI do like the nest photograph, your Haiku and the clip art :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
