Haiku my Heart - Nightwalk

Hope you will visit

When I wrote this haiku, I was really thinking of the cherry blossoms in DC since Spring is just around the wintery corner, and wondering if the trek to see them will continue or stop now because of the many issues going on in our America. Perhaps our capital city will no longer be a tourist spot. So, a cherry blossom walk turned into a night walk, in the mist, with the unseen bat above seeking its nightly meal. Works for me. I like bats.

Happy Friday.

  2. I like bats too but it is too cold here for them even though the sun is shining. Have a good weekend.

  3. It works for me too. I like blossom but there is most definitely room in my heart for night walks and bats.

  4. dear friend,
thank you for you kindness and comfort. i know i have been missing here in the haiku circle. as my senior cat jackson neared the end of his sweet life it was impossible if he was awake to do anything but hold him! i am so grateful for all the life we shared and so happy i placed most of my duties and interests aside to be there completely for him. thank you for understanding that this focus also took me far away from my computer too. looking forward to rekindling my presence here. thank you for your kindness as i grieve fiercely for my beloved jack. xo

  5. This reminds me of late evenings in Spring or Summer in the UK, with bats seen flying fast and low in our neighbourhood.

Thanx for calling at my Blog. Hope to see you again soon.

    God bless.

  10. I've always wanted to visit DC for the cherry blossom festival but this doesn't feel like the year for it. I doubt Philly will have a big festival too.

  11. I think cherry blossom walks in DC will be very quiet for a while, quiet enough that one might be able to enjoy the bats at night. Hopefully, the trees won't feel too scared to bloom.
