Haiku my Heart - You'll Have to wait for the Hunter's Moon

a bright reflection
quick moving river water
a full moon broken

Time to use your imagination, or wait til October 20.
But know that the river will break the moon. Always.

  3. Perfect image and of course, your haiku is the same...perfect.

Here is my reply to your question at my blog...

Yes, I just read that cinnamon cats do not like. I know Isaiah would claw our furniture and I took ground pepper and rubbed it into the upholstery...he has never touched it since.

  4. I'm enchanted by the imagery of this haiku and lost myself for a few minutes contemplating the different ways the words hit me.

  5. The moon lends herself to so many of our poems. This haiku reflects her light and her nature, part of which we can find in ourselves if we look.

  7. I love reading haiku's - ...this one is beautiful. Every once in awhile i try to write one and for some reason my brain just stops dead and says ...stop it...stop it. I can't seem to get them going very well.
