birds have goddesses
meeting the bird goddess

Well, sure they do. Feathered Goddesses that flit around
through the trees, hiding behind the leaves, chirping to the
bird community in lilting birdsong, giving directions and safety advice.
They're tiny, no bigger than an elfin, almost transparent, and if you want to see one
you have to watch attentively where birds gather and catch the flash of feather
colors she wears proudly. Watch and listen closely. You'll find her one day.
If you believe!

I can see those feathered goddesses... I truly can. And... I love seeing the flowers this pup has brought us! Last pic I saw of him... it was a branch! Miracles do happen!
ReplyDeleteYes Lea, Miracles at the end of a paintbrush! I cannot find your haiku post beyond March. Hope you didnt stop. Also, this link doesnt work. Thinking there might be an extra L in it. Go see. :)
DeleteWatching birds flit and fly is so very relaxing. When I'm stressed I watch the the birds enjoy the bird bath. Thank you for this post and have a grand weekend!
ReplyDeleteI always suspected birds were more mysteriously cool than us. I mean, just look at them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I LOVE the puppy haiku! It brightened my day.
Both haiku are lovely. And of course birds have goddesses - some day I hope to see one.
