    I love your painting and haiku… it is said in my tradition that the purpose of the rooster's song is to remind us to wake up again and again in our lives to the blessings hidden and revealed in each moment.

    We had friends who had a vicious rooster- last one in the house would be attacked! So I'm wary of them to this day- even pretty ones like yours!

    This is great Judie! We had chickens when I was growing up, and do the roosters ever have attitude! But then I guess I would too if I had such a gorgeous tail!
