Haiku my Heart - Issa (a single bubble in a cup of tea)

full moon
my ramshackle hut
is what it is

a poor box
four or five pennies
evening rain

the pheasant cries
as if it just noticed
the mountain
               Issa

I hope you have enjoyed the writings
of the Japanese Poet Yataro Kobayashi, also known
as Issa (1763 -1827)
It is sort of my mood today.

  2. You simply can't go wrong with Issa. How lovely that he supplied the words when your own failed. Blessings.

  4. Judie. I love this bubble in my tea today... that you would share this, today of all days, just when I most needed to hear pheasant cry... just when I needed to hear the whispers of the trees that surround, hold and love you. Thank you my bloglandia friend.

  7. Issa does paint a mood quite beautifully doesn't he? I can imagine the sound of the rain and how it would muffle everything, if there were other noises present.

  8. I enjoyed the haiku, especially the last one--I've seen that shock on many faces, mine included.

I hope your mood dances with rainbows... soon.
