the moonlit plowed field
is another battle zone
an owl and a vole
In the sadness of today's world around me, both here and in other countries, I need to seek a corner of comfort. I need to shut it all out for awhile. To do so, I sometimes turn to books. Right now, I've turned to a new book titled:
COLORS
a poetry anthology
by Kira Winter
This book is soft, gentle writing that brings a sense of peace when the words are read and absorbed. It is written in sections of soft color, brings out thoughts of love, earth, rebirth and other delicious, peaceful sentiments, and....joy of all joys to my artist heart...it has, here and there, simple illustrations. But mostly, the words bring me calm whenever I pick it up and read just for a few minutes. It's that kind of book.
